AM121 plays a crucial role in formulations that cure extremely fast at ambient temperature when exposed to atmospheric moisture. This is particularly relevant for systems where alpha-organofunctional terminal groups act as crosslinkers. Incorporating AM121 significantly enhances storage stability. It is particularly well-suited for manufacturing highly flexible materials with a low elastic modulus. This is because the dialkoxysilyl group serves as a chain extender during the prepolymer curing process, leading to a lower level of crosslinking.
